Compact Range
Both the ChipMaster Compact Professional and the LinearMaster Compact Professional IC Testers include an automatic search facility for unknown ICs and loop test modes for intermittent failure detection of IC's when under a load. Wall mount power supplies available for extended use.
ChipMaster Compact Professional
The basic function of the ChipMaster Compact is to test a digital IC for correct logical functioning as described in the truth table and/or function table. The ChipMaster Compact applies the necessary signals to the inputs of the IC, monitoring the outputs at each stage and comparing them with the expected states. Any discrepancy results in a FAIL indication and the faulty pins are shown on the integral display. Additional functions are also provided, amongst them, test loops that can be used for internal integrity, detecting intermittent faults or simply providing a rapid method of exercising any IC for demonstration or educational purposes. Since the ChipMaster Compact contains an extensive IC library, it is not necessary to program the unit yourself other than to key in the IC number. It is also capable of identifying an unknown IC’s using the SEARCH mode - this is a feature that many users will find extremely valuable. It could take hours trying to figure out an IC with it’s name scratched off.

LinearMaster Compact Professional
Low-cost hand-held battery operated out-of-circuit IC tester for analogue ICs up to 16 pins.
The LinearMaster Compact Professional emulates passive circuitry around the device under test to ensure that a comprehensive test takes place. High integrity verification offers guaranteed levels of reliability in the results. Conditional and unconditional loop testing modes ensure that intermittant and/or temperature related faults are detected. As part of the IC test, the specific IC number, the functional description of the device and the status of faulty pins are scrolled through on the built-in display. Battery eliminators available for extended use. Free software updates and ABI test technology built-in.
